a slightly different world

Persuade/per-swad/vb.1:To win over to a belief or course of action by argument or entreaty.

It appears that this year I will spend more time driving than ever before. Normally I avoid driving but now suddenly I have to commute every day. Yesterday while sitting in my car I noticed that advertising is just about the only thing to experience while driving on the high ways of America. On I-93 I sat watching a mechanical billboard switch between a photo of Gwen Stefani and a pitch for low interest rates. The radio was belting out that classic tune 1 800 54 Giant all about replacing my car windows as though what I really needed was to be reminded that I was sitting in my car on a highway going no where I repeat NO WHERE!
The car in front of me failing to elicit a certain air of independence with that exotic name Denali spurred me to wonder, doesn’t the person who owns that apartment on wheels know the name of their car they did spend $2.25 a gallon to sit and read billboards in front of me on the high way. If the label isn't for them it must be for my benefit and just in case I just had to have my own automotive cruse ship their was conveniently, a label informing me that if I so elected I too could acquire one in a wonderful far off land aptly named THE AUTO MILE.

Really its allot like hell and the most unnerving part of the hole nauseating mess was mind control super monster Clear Channel’s logo staring back at me from the bottom of the billboard, advertising on advertising. To top it off I believe they also own a vast majority of American radio and television stations. What I'm saying is that I was a captive in my car being bombarded by things telling you to look at me l listen to me. They are ten thousand hungry ant's crawling across your kitchen counter eating your home and your food. There is really almost nothing you can do about it. For my part I won't put any ads for any thing on my site just the work. Some times it’s nice to imagine a slightly different world.

Camera's were heavy.

Weight /wat/ n.1:the force with which a body is attracted toward the earth or a celestial body by gravitation and which is equal to the product of the mass and the local gravitational acceleration. 2:the relative importance or authority accorded something
I started taking photographs as a child when my parents gave me their old photo equipment.
Boom... just like that I had a beaten up old camera with lots of knobs, lenses, buttons and stuff and only a vague idea how any of it works? We bought film shot it & paid for processing (expensive hobby, I don't think they considered that part).
My photos were blurry, dark, and poorly conceived. They seemed to indicate that this photo thing is a-lot harder than it looks so I started again and again and again...
I started with the things around me, this right here, its all we have.
Soon I discovered it’s more than enough.
